Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Jeffrey Kerst
Dr. Jeffrey Kerst grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas and knew through the process of becoming an Eagle Scout that he wanted a career centered around helping others. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSU Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry in New Orleans, graduating with honors in Leadership and receiving the Louisiana Dental Association's Outstanding Senior Dental Student Award.
His pursuit of clinical excellence is ongoing. Dr. Kerst has completed an extensive, multi-year continuing education curriculum at The Pankey Institute, one of the most respected advanced dental education programs in the world, with coursework in aesthetic restorative dentistry, case acceptance, and practice management.
Beyond the chair, Dr. Kerst is recognized as a leader in the dental profession. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the International College of Dentists - three of dentistry's most prestigious honor societies. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Dental Association and is an Advisor and Board Member of The Pankey Institute. He speaks nationally to dental students and early-career dentists on topics including aesthetic dentistry, TMJ disorders, the science of how teeth fit together, as well as leadership, practice growth, and the ethics of business of dentistry.
At home, Dr. Kerst is husband to board-certified orthodontist Dr. Allison Haynie Kerst and father to three sons: Robert, Truman, and Vincent. Outside the office he stays active in the Shreveport community through the Rotary Club, Boy Scouts of America, and Holy Angels, as well as other not-for-profits.
Fun Fact: Dr. Kerst spent 4 years as an NCAA/NISOA referee, and has officiated over three major championship soccer matches!
Dr. Caskey is a 1983 graduate of the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, LA. He was born and raised in Shreveport, graduating from Captain Shreve High School and Louisiana Tech University.
For over 4 decades, Dr. Caskey has provided dental care to the residents of the Ark-La-Tex area, with the goal of delivering the highest level of care possible. Since entering private practice in 1983, he has made it his mission to treat each patient as though they are family, with compassion and empathy.
Since becoming a dentist, Dr. Caskey has been a member of the American Dental Association, serving in a variety of roles, with over two decades on the editorial board of the Louisiana Dental Association Journal. He has spent much of his career advocating for patients on a state level. Dr. Caskey was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and he remains an active Fellow.
When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Caskey spends his time staying active with a number of activities. As a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, he plays the trumpet in the church band, as well as in other private bands. He enjoys weight training, scuba diving, and flying small general aviation aircraft.
Fun Fact: Dr. Caskey has piloted his own plane as far east as Key West and as far west as Anchorage, Alaska!
